Our classes build on each other and offer age-appropriate learning. While we want kids to learn all the basic kitchen skills, we teach them progressively to ensure they feel comfortable and safe with anything they do. In our Introduction Level 1 course, kids will use plastic knives and 'potato knives' to cut and chop ingredients. They will also wear a protective glove on their non-dominant hand. As they progress through the levels and improve their confidence and skills, they'll continue using more 'real' knives and other more advanced utensils and appliances.

Besides learning how to cook a meal from start to finish with real ingredients, we will also learn how to read a recipe, how to measure, cut and weigh ingredients. We will also learn about how to set a table properly, table manners and kitchen clean up at the end of a meal. Your child will be so happy and proud to recreate the recipes at home and serve a full family meal that they've prepared all by themselves!

Yes! Eating dinner together is a bit part of our class and where we build the sense of community and sharing a great moment together over food. Your child will eat as much as they want and can take any leftovers home.

All our meals are thoughtfully developed and tested with children and families in mind. We combine simple and straightforward ingredients with child approved meals! All meals include a good amount of vegetables that our little chefs will come to learn how to incorporate and appreciate.

We encourage all kids to try the food we prepared. And the fact that they've just prepared it by themselves, offers a natural curiosity to try and see how it actually tastes. If your child doesn't like one of the meals, they don't have to eat it during the class and can take it home for their family to taste.

Yes, absolutely! We'll send detailed (child-friendly) recipes home after every class. With simple every day ingredients, your child will be able to cook the meals at home with very little help from adults (e.g. taking out a hot baking tray from the oven, draining pasta).

Our first round of programs will unfortunately not be able to accommodate allergies or dietary restrictions other than mild peanut-allergies (we can't fully avoid cross-contamination). However, in the future we are planning to offer allergen friendly programs such as Gluten-free or lactose free programs.

At the moment, all our programs are 6-weeks long. However, if a program doesn't sell out, we'd be happy to allow you to register for just the first class and then continue on in case your child loves it. And we are confident that they will!
